Change of state wordsearch and wordmat

Experiments with water and ice are always go down well with the boys -but sometimes it helps to have additional resources to reinforce vocabulary for A without it seeming like "lessons".  This wordsearch has been designed using topic words linked to changes in state; I have deliberately used the words list from Sparklebox to tie everything in together and to remind myself which words to concentrate on.

Just to be sure this worked I knocked up a simple list of words for the topic R and A are doing at school at the moment - Rainforests.

One thing to note is that if some of your terms are more than 1 word you need to take out the spaces - hence morphobutterfly rather than morpho butterfly for example; but overall something I will use again I think!

Apologies that April was such a light month posting-wise.  We had several things happening here which included not only all the bank holiday/Easter stuff but a visit to the UK for 5 days in the middle.  Combine this with A having been asked in a very polite Dutch way to leave the International School because he cannot stay there now the verdict is in from the Dutch Ed Psych and the result is that we are returning to the UK minus OH, so packing and cleaning our 6 bedroom house has had priority over blogging at the mo and will do for May as well I suspect.
I did however find time to create this word search for A and R to do - I think that I had shapes on my mind since now B has colours off pat shapes are next on my list.

Nocturnal Animals Word search

I created this to use with one of the books we are looking at for stART which is about light and dark.  Since A is doing this topic at school I made this word search for him and R to do.
