Originally designed as an alphabet bag label by love my life x 4 as part of a whole "D" unit this makes the perfect lacing shape.

Print, laminate and cut out slightly bigger than the letter then just use a hole punch to add the lacing holes.  Download the file from here or click here to see the original post with its other activities.

Confessions of Home Schooler has a fantastic range of dino activities for the letter D - but the magnet page included (scroll halfway down) is for an uppercase D and as I posted here I have my own reasons for wanting to start with lower case letters not upper case.
So here is our version with a lower case d.

Letter D: D is for Dog: Hairy Maclary from Donaldsons Dairy

Hairy Maclary From Donaldsons Dairy is the first in a series of book by New Zealand author Lynley Dodd.  In the story Hairy Maclary goes on a walk with all his friends until he meets Scarface Claw the toughest tom in town who scares all the dogs so much that they run back home.  It is filled with lots of lovely rhyme and repetition; at the end of each page is the phrase "and Hairy Maclary from Donaldsons Dairy" guaranteed to get the kids chiming in.
